How To Maximize Conversion Rates On Webinar Registration Page (Part 3)

Today I’ll share with you how to maximize the conversion rates on your webinar registration pages, and as I’ll show you it’s the biggest leverage point that will make a huge difference between making just a few sales or making a lot of sales on your webinars.

This part 3 of the video series, if you haven’t watched the previous 2 videos or you are new to webinar marketing, I talked about why webinars work and it’s the single fastest way to generate large bursts of income, position yourself as an authority and generate leads and sales for your business, and on the previous video I shared why most webinars fail because they lack U.S.P, they don’t have irresistible hook, their titles are boring, not unique and not attractive and how to craft an irresistible hook that will pull registrations.

Now if you are really good at getting people to register and attend the webinar and you are ok at presenting and closing, you will make good money.
But if you are really great at presenting and closing, but you don’t do a good job at getting people to register and attend, you will never make good money!

Selling with webinars is a numbers game. The more people register and attend the webinar the more sales you will get.

Your job is to first aggressively promote your webinar to maximize the number of webinar registrants. You  can’t be lazy with this.
Next, you need to aggressively promote your webinar to registrants to maximize the percentage who attend.

Now why do I say aggressively?

If you know in your heart that they will really get a lot of value out of this webinar, that this is going to be a good webinar, if you are congruent on the inside, you know your stuff is life changing, then you own it to people to promote it aggressively and get as many people as possible to attend your webinar.

So let me demonstrate to you why getting your registration page conversion up can give you a tremendous leverage:

As you can see, typical marketers get 30% conversion rates or lesser on the registration page, and with 35% attendance rates and 6% sales conversion rates, you get only 1 sale.

Now if you tweak your registration page and get 86% conversion rate, with 50% attendance rate and 15% sales conversion rate, you get 6 sales.

That’s 600% more sales! That can be the difference between a successful and profitable advertising or losing advertising. The different between you are making full time income online and living your dream life and you are not making any money at all…

A lot of webinar marketers still use the same old webinar templates that they get from GoToWebinar platform, one of the most popular webinar platforms out there.

It screams mediocrity, and people have seen it gazillion times, so they will think that your webinar is just as what they have already seen…

Instead always use high converting registration page template.

One of the best and high converting registration page templates you can find with Webinars-On-Air platform. You can get it 30 days for free following this page

Remember the last video I talked about U.S.P? Well here is what’s important to remember:  Literally every step of the webinar funnel should include verbiage that re-asserts the U.S.P or aspects of the U.S.P.

What is a webinar funnel? Funnel is a sequential set of marketing pieces. It’s your ads -> registration page -> thank you page -> email follow ups etc.

If you have a weakness at the early stages of a funnel, at the registration page, you will not get much results. Don’t be lazy about this stuff.

How To Maximize Conversion Rates On Webinar Registration Page (Part 3)

Registration Page Elements

Here are the most important elements of the registration page:

1. Headline That Communicates The U.S.P

This is the most important element of your page. Take the U.S.P that you came up with and put it on the headline, verbatim or close to verbatim. Again watch here how to create your U.S.P.

Congruency is critically important, your ads and promotions should exactly match what they see on the capture page. It’s CRITICALLY important. That’s the difference between 30% conversion rates and 60% conversion rates.

2. Call To Action To Register – A Button – Above The Fold

You don’t want them to search for the registration button on the page. Typically it’s best to have the registration button appear below the headline.

3. Date/Time Of Webinar – clearly visible

People should know of course when the webinar starts, you can write down 9pm EST/ 8pm CST/ 7pm PST

4. Bullet Points that communicate benefits of attending the webinars.

You want to have 3-5 bullet points that reinforce and further clarify the headline and the U.S.P. They should reiterate and reinforce the implicit benefits of the headline.

Think about what are the hot buttons of the title and the U.S.P. ? And elaborate on it.

5. Form for name, email

It should go without saying that you want to collect the name and email on the registration page and add it to your auto responder. This is how you are going to also generate leads for your business on the registration page.

6. Photo of presenter (optional)

Show your picture on the page of yourself or do a video 🙂 You can include a little bio of yourself if you want.

7. Countdown timer (optional)

Show people when the webinar should start.

8. Video (Test this)

On this video share who you are, what you’ve got for them, why it’s important for people to attend the webinar and how they can register.

You should test it, typically you get lower conversion rates with a video but higher attendance rates.

Here is an example of a capture page that my buddy Steve Jaffe has done, notice all the elements of the registration page here:

Alright so now you know what you need to do to maximize conversion rates on webinar registration page.

This is a very insightful and useful article and I am glad you shared. Although frankly speaking Webinars are not for te faint hearted or lazy. So they arent for everyone.

YET One can create evergreen webinars and keep rocking it out an dmaking money from them. The trick here is as you say Use quality resources and templates and

As you stated, be sure to Aggressively promote…haaaa lots of people post on their facebook once, tweet it maybe and wait for the masses to arrive = No sales! Proactice, JV, Ask friends and network to promote said webinar, Facebook Ads, Boost post from Page, Pin it, Instagram, Send to niche forums, email to list etc. and see the till ring. Thanks for sharing Vitaliy. I love your blogs!
