Today I’ll answer a question that one of my team members asked – so what to do after you get a lead, in other words what are different ways that you can follow up with people?
So the simple answer to this question is you provide value and you BUILD a RELATIONSHIPS with the new leads so they KNOW, LIKE and TRUST you.
How do you win their trust? Remember that most people when they come to your capture page they have NO IDEA who you are, they were just curious enough to give you their email address in exchange to value you promised them.
Depending on how you got the lead, if it’s a solo ad, or banner ad, or Facebook ad, or Bing ad they don’t know and trust you yet.
Even if they have been following you for a while, and got exposed to one of your videos or blog posts and became a lead, they still not fully trust you yet to invest more money with you.
So you need to be sharing a story about yourself and demonstrate to them that you can help them by actually helping them. I talked about Value Based Marketing in my last episode.

Different Ways To Follow Up With People
1. Create an automated follow up sequence.
You can design in your autoresponder like Aweber a series of emails that will be sent from you automatically and help you build relationships with your leads 24/7 no matter when people join your email list.
The purpose of those emails is to win their trust and acquire new customers.
Some people have just a couple of email follow up messages and they broadcast almost every day, and other people have 15 or 30 follow up messages, it’s depending on how far you can go and automate things.
The key is you want to ENGAGE your new lead in a conversation with you.
You want to encourage them to reply to your emails, and go to your blog posts and videos and leave comments, and watch your Periscopes and connect with you on Facebook, and attend your webinars.
You can also invite people to the webinars that other people are hosting, for example on these weekly marketing webinars top leaders every week share their best strategies to help you build your online business and I highly recommend you attend those.
The more people on your list will be engaged with you, the better you are following up with your leads.
2. Connect With Them One On One On Skype, Facebook And The Phone
This is the best way to follow up with your leads and make sales (after the autopilot sales of course and webinar sales) because it’s real one-on-one and you can feel the prospect and address his unique situation.
Yes it’s not scalable, but it’s a guaranteed way that you will make sales if you are at least decent at connecting with people, it’s the law of averages that I shared in my previous blog post.
You want to find out about their goals, desires, pain points, what are they struggling with and how you can help them.

Your goal is to acquire as many new customers as possible so I recommend that you have an irresistible offer with a low cost product that people can buy for $1 or $7 or $17 it doesn’t matter, but they will get HUGE value out of it.
This way you can win their trust very fast and when it happens, when they spend some money with you, the relationships between you fundamentally changes. Now they are your customers. They have proven they are buyers and you can then provide more value to them in exchange for more investment.
