6 Top Tips That Will Absolutely Help You Be More CONSISTENT With Your Actions [DIS #287]

Have you ever struggled with being consistent? I think that being consistent in taking the right actions on a daily and weekly basis that will grow your business is absolutely one of the most important keys to success, and I want to help with that. You know 80% of success is just SHOWING UP and doing the things you need to be doing and you know it. 

I’ve been pretty consistent with my Daily Inspirational Show, shooting a video 5-6 times a week for the last year or so and now we are on Episode #287 and I started it because I wanted to inspire people to build a 6-figure business from home, to document my journey as I learn new things and also to inspire people to BE CONSISTENT. I’ve been pretty consistently emailing my list and creating blog posts to provide value and connecting with my leads and doing other things that are important to get done. 

I don’t say I’m the most consistent person out there, for example my mentor Ray Higdon is more consistent than me, he has created over 1,700+ blog posts and videos, hundreds of webinars, hundreds of podcasts, hundreds of periscopes, hundreds of Instagram images, hundreds of a lot of things 🙂

He recently did a webinar for the MLSP community with 2,400 people who attended LIVE where he shared 5 steps to building an authority with blogging and launched “The 3 Minute Expert – Attraction Marketing Edition”, I already owned it but I bought it for the second time just because of the $4K in bonuses. So Ray shared his 6 keys to being consistent and I want to share it with you and give my own spin on it because I know how much it’s going to help you achieve your dreams. 

Key #1 – Have A BIG VISION for WHO do you want to BECOME 

This is the #1 reason why I’m consistent. I know who I wan to become and how I want to impact the world. A lot of times you know what to do, you have the strategy, but you just don’t do it… 

A lot of times you just don’t feel like shooting a video, or writing a blog post, or writing an email, or creating a campaign, or talking to this person… but do you succumb to this feeling? Hell no if you know who you want to become.

  • How do you want to be described?
  • How do you want people to talk about you?
  • How do you want to represent your brand and yourself?
  • What do you want to contribute?
  • What results you want to achieve?
  • What lifestyle do you want to live?

Do you want to have other people asking to interview you? Do you want to have multiple streams of income coming to you on autopilot that you just can’t stop this flow of abundance? Do you want to take your family to vacations 6 times a year? Do you want to be asked to speak on stage? 

You see your vision is different that your why. You’ve probably heard that you need to have a why that makes you cry. Your why is typically something EXTERNAL of yourself. 

Like your why maybe that you want to spend more time with your kids and give them the kind of life they deserve. Your why can be to help your favorite charities. Your why can be helping your mother and relatives. You gotta have a WHY that will drive you. 

But a VISION of WHO DO YOU WANT TO BECOME is internal, It’s growing into a bigger type of person and contributing to people much more, it’s how you live and how you hold yourself and how you think about yourself and what others think of you. 

My vision of who I want to become is I want to become a person that speak on multiple stages in the world, I want to have millions of views on my videos, I want to do my own seminars, I want to help tens of thousands of people achieve freedom in their lives. 

When your vision is clear, you WILL NOT feel good about yourself if you don’t do the actions necessary today to achieve your vision. You will not feel CONGRUENT on the inside. 

This vision will pull you to do the things you need to do.

Key #2 – Have A Morning Daily Routine 

If you don’s have a morning routine, your day will be filled with all kinds of distractions and you will not be on track to having a productive day. 

I suggest that you wake up early, it can be 5am or maximum 7am because you can get a lot of things done while others are sleeping. Your morning routine starts the night before, go to sleep earlier like 11pm and don’t watch TV before you go to sleep. Instead reprogram your subconscious mind with positive affirmations you say to yoursel,  so that the whole night your mind will be working on focusing on these things. 

Make the affirmations positive and in present tense: 

– I’m so happy and grateful that my perfect clients are reaching out to me
– I’m so happy and grateful that money flows into my life easily and effortlessly from multiple sources in increasing quantities on a continuous basis!
– I’m so happy and grateful now that I’m sponsoring 2 people a day into my business 
– I’m so happy and grateful now that I have a lot of freedom to do what I want in my life
Something like that, you write your own. Then when you wake up drink a lot of water cause your mind has been dehydrated during the night, like literally a liter of water, of even 60 ounces of water. 
Then I listen to my VISION as I speak it. This is SO powerful. Write down in your journal what is your vision and very vivid and clear language that you can feel it and visualize it, and then record it with your own voice. Literally speak your vision, put a background music to pump you up and listen to your own vision at least once a day in the morning and evening, and IMAGINE it’s happening right now and it’s REAL for you right now. 
Then I suggest you eat something healthy for the breakfast, like a green shake and something to get your energy going. 
Then meditate for 10 minutes at least where you express all the gratitude for EVERYTHING in your life, your kids, your family, your business, the money you are making, your friends, the people you are working with, EVERYTHING you can think of…
Then read for 20-30 minutes to fill your mind with all the positive information of a good book, and that’s how you can read at least 15 books a year! 
Then start with the most productive and most leveraged thing that you can do for your business and BAAM, now you have a powerful morning.

Key #3 – Know What Is Your Alternative

You need to dig deep and find the pain. What if you didn’t show up and did the things you need to do to build your business? What is the alternative?? 
You will NEVER achieve the kind of freedom that you want in your life. Will you go back to find a JOB? Will you continue working for someone else and slaving away at something you are not passionate about for a paycheck? Will you continue tolerating having to ask for permission whenever you want to do something? 
Will you want to miss the best years of your kids life? Will you want to be stuck in the cubicle and corporate America? Will you want to live on a social security and disability income for the rest of your life???
Will you continue to work weekends? Will you continue to look at price tags each time you shop or eat outside? Will you continue just dreaming about visiting the countries you want to visit? 
Will you continue to worry about money all the time? Will you not be able to afford to pay for your kids education? 
What is the pain? What is the alternative? 
If you know that, the alternative is not very bright, it’s much worse… It will drive you to do whatever it takes to FIGHT for your freedom and BREAK freaking free! 
For me I want to grow and contribute, and if I don’t do that I don’t feel good. 

Key #4 – Set 30 Day Goals 

If you want to be more consistent, set goals that are close enough that you can see the victory and go for it in short bursts of energy! 
Yes you want goals that are big, annual, 5 years goals… but in the same time you want some 30 day goals that will stretch you. 
Like write a goal that you intend to bring 20 people this month to your network marketing business. Set goal to make X amount of sales of a particular product. 
Set a goal that is attainable but will stretch you. And actually DO IT, you will feel accomplished and you will feel good about yourself. 
Then next month write more aggressive goals. Put it in front of you on a post it note. 
When you do something every day consistently, the compound effect of it will be huge. Read the book by Darren Hardy “The Compound Effect” and it will change your life. 

Key #5 – Do Things Daily And Strike A Red Big X On Your Calendar

If you want to be the best in the world at something you gotta do things daily.  No exceptions. No excuses.
You want to become an amazing blogger? Blog daily. You want to be amazing and influential communicator on video, shoot videos daily.
You know what piece of advice Jerry Seinfeld told to a budding comic? Write jokes daily. It doesn’t matter if you don’t feel like it. Write jokes daily if you want to be a comedian.
When do you stop??? Never. You never stop.
Write emails daily. Shoot videos daily. Create blog posts daily. Talk to your team members and leads daily.
You can have even havit app on your smart phone and strike this sucker every day and never miss.

Key #6 – Push Through a Plateau No Matter What

As an entrepreneur you will have bad days. You will have plateaus. There will come time when you don’t feel like it. 
People will think you are crazy. YOU WILL THINK YOU ARE CRAZY. You will think man I’m working so hard and get no results, should I go back to a job? 
You will question your sanity. You will think if it’s worth it. But you gotta keep moving forward and keep doing what you need to do. 
Until when you need to persevere and do things? UNTIL. UNTIL you win. UNTIL it’s a habit. UNTIL it’s in your blood.
Do it despite your circumstances. Do it despite your challenges. Do it despite the craziness around you. Just freaking DO IT.
I highly recommend that you read the book “The war of Art” by Steven Pressfield. It’s a WAR. You will feel resistance. BUT You can FIGHT and WIN this fight!!!

    Thanks! Most of these I knew about, but the WHO is one that you don’t hear very often. I like it. It is so much easier to do exercise if you ARE a fit and healthy person, instead of just having a goal of losing weight, for example.
