Everybody wants to get more followers and fans on social media, because obviously the more followers you have, the bigger your audience, the more influence you will have and ultimately you will make more money.
If you see people who join a new network marketing business and totally crush it in the first month bringing in crazy numbers of people and customers into the company it’s because they have a big following on social media and their email list, they have influence, period.
Tip #1 – Create Something Unique Every Day
You gotta be creating something every day, because it’s the CREATORS are those who followed. It’s the most prolific people who are followed.
Take a picture, make an image with a quote, create a status update that inspires people, create a blog post, create a video.
It’s in the act of creation that your genius will come out, you will express yourself, you will find your unique voice and you will get better and better the more you create.
My first videos and blog posts sucked, and I was OK with it. Just embrace the struggle, embrace the journey and hustle.
The sucky period will pass. Your first video is not the be-all-end-all and so is your video #200.
Don’t wait for the inspiration to fall on your head. The people who are most prolific they SCHEDULE THE TIME to CREATE. Usually at the same time.
So block some time where you will do nothing except creating new content.
Start thinking of yourself as the creator that you are.
You are creating not only for the followers, but also for yourself and for your personal growth. For the challenge is in the creating and it will make you a better communicator and a better leader.
Nothing will improve your ability to lead and get results as creating content on a daily basis.
4 Awesome Tips To Help You Get More Followers On Social Media
Tip #2 – Read Every Day
Read something that inspires you every day, read great books, autobiographies of great leaders and best sellers in your niche.
All leaders are readers and you know that.
When you read you get much more creative and you start to think better and bigger thoughts.
Your following will come from you thinking bigger.
It’s not just reading, it’s listening to great leaders as well. You will help notes that you take and you can share it with people when you create content, see how it works?
Tip #3 – Multi-Purpose And Repurpose Your Content
When you create a video, from this 1 video you can pull out a couple of quotes and use it on social media.
You can then transcribe it and put it on your blog post.
You can take the audio from it and put it as a podcast.
You see you can take this video and post it on your blog, on your fan page, and all over the internet, in as many places and in as many ways as possible.
Also re-purpose the content and RE-CYCLE it.
On social media when you post chances are that after a day nobody really sees it. So you can post the same image, the same quote, the same blog posts 2-3 weeks from now…
Tip #4 – Do It Consistently And Do It With Heart
Consistency is key. It’s when you are consistent you will get a big following.
I’ve been doing those daily inspirational shows consistently over the last year, 6 times a week.
It’s not about one time, it’s doing it over and over. People who are consistently creating content are rewarded.
You first create content and do it and then you get the followers and not the other way around.
Create from the place of heart. If people can’t tell that you care about them, if people can’t tell your value and what you stand for, then you are not doing a very good job at communicating it.
